Franklin L. Tew

Sunday, July 20, 2025, Frank was reunited with his loving wife in Heaven, passing away at his home in Alexander County.

Frank was born in Sampson County, NC on March 2, 1941, to his parents, the late Elsworth and Maggie Knowles Tew.

Frank worked in textiles until he retired. He was a Charter member of Friendship Baptist Church in Hudson, NC. He was very helpful with the Samaritan’s Purse Shoeboxes by sewing hundreds of totes. Frank liked fishing, gardening and doing leather work for equestrian use.

Frank lovingly cared for his wife Irene during her lengthy illness until her death earlier this year. He is also preceded in death by his parents and his sister-in-law, Ima Faye Fann Tew, and a nephew, Lewis Tew

Left to cherish his memory are his step-daughters, Gail Hubbard of Granite Falls NC and Gloria Hubbard of Hudson NC and step-grandsons and step-granddaughter. Special friends he loved as family are Allison Ward {Robert} and children of Knoxville, TN and Jesse Parker {Tasha} and children of Hildebran, NC. A brother, Ellis Tew, and a sister Jeanette {Johnny}, Cashwell along with nieces and nephews. Special friends Jerry and Brenda Roper and Karen Parker.

A Graveside Service will be held at 4 p.m., Friday, July 25, 2025 at Friendship Baptist Church in Hudson, NC.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be given to Friendship Baptist Church’s Shoebox fund, 4676 Horseshoe Bend Rd., Hudson NC 28638.
