Gary N. Millsaps, age 75, of Hiddenite, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2025, at his home.
Gary was born September 6, 1949, in Iredell County, the son of the late Robert George Millsaps and China Millsaps Millsaps.
Gary established and operated Millsaps Steel Fabrication for over 40 years. He was a member of Linney’s Grove Baptist Church. After retirement, he enjoyed his tractors, bulldozer, and working outside. He was a man who was well-respected for his wisdom and the ability to figure things out. Family and friends appreciated the valuable life lessons and guidance he shared.
Those left to cherish and honor Gary’s memories include: his wife of almost 57 years, Wanda Wallace Millsaps of the home; his daughter, Amy Guyer (Jeremy) of Hickory; his son, Greg Millsaps (Krista) of Hiddenite; his grandchildren, Gannon Millsaps (Amy), Avery Guyer, Gracee Anderson (Gunnar) and looking for his first great-grandchild in June; his brothers, Conrad Millsaps (Janet), Mike Millsaps (Karen) all of Hiddenite; his sister-in-law, Sandra Arms (Michael); a team of special caregivers who allowed him to remain at home; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until 5 p.m., Sunday, May 18, 2025, in the Linney’s Grove Baptist Church Fellowship Building with a Celebration of Life Service to follow in the church sanctuary at 5 p.m. Pastor Curt Miller, Pastor Randy Campbell and Pastor Jarrod Moody will officiate.
