George "Cecil" Baity

            George “Cecil” Baity, age 80, of Harmony, went to his heavenly home on Wednesday, November 13, 2024.

            Cecil was born March 17, 1944, the son of the late JaVan Baity and Nellie Bowles Baity.

            He was a construction operator on telephone lines and a member of Temple Baptist Church. He loved his family, church family, walking and word searches.

            Including his parents, he was preceded in death by: his wife, Teresa Harris Baity; his sons, Steven Baity, Matthew Baity; his siblings, Ethel Richardson and husband, Shirley, Reva Mae Cleary and husband, John, Leroy Baity, and Shirley Baity.

            Those left to cherish and honor his memories include: his sisters, Laura Galliher (Michael) of Harmony, Margaret Brackens of Mocksville; his brother, Thomas Wesley Baity, Sr. of Harmony; his sister-in-law, Lizzy Baity of Yadkinville; a special niece, Tamara Taylor (David); and a number of nieces, nephews, and friends.

            A Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery in Union Grove. Pastor Randy Mitchell, Pastor Terry Tevepaugh will officiate.
