Glenda Griffin Brown of Boomer passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord, on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 surrounded by the love she so freely gave throughout her life
A woman of deep and unwavering faith, Glenda lived with the quiet assurance that Heaven awaited her—a place of peace, joy, and freedom from pain. Today, we celebrate not only her life, but her eternal homecoming “Well done, good and faithful servant… Enter into the joy of your Lord.” – Matthew 25:23
While our hearts feel the weight of her absence, we find peace in knowing that Glenda is exactly where she always believed she would be—whole, healed, and at rest in the presence of her Savior. Her life was a testimony of faith, love, and selflessness, and her spirit will live on in every life she touched. Glenda had a heart that knew no limits. She loved everyone she met and would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need. Her kindness was effortless, her generosity unmatched, and her presence a comfort to so many. Whether family, friend, or stranger, you were never a stranger for long in Glenda’s world.
Glenda was the beloved wife of Fred Brown, and together they built a life rooted in love, resilience, and devotion to family. But above all else, Glenda’s greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was being a mother. She poured her heart into raising her children—Freda Parker, Ann Adams, Joanna Wilson, and Ronald Ball Brown—instilling in them the values of kindness, strength, and faith.
Her love only grew as her family did. She was a cherished grandmother to Tyona Anderson, Justin Brown, Brennan Eller, Bradley Eller, Autumn Collins, Nathanial Collins, Alan Parker Jr., and Marty Parker, and a proud great-grandmother to Jaedin Brown, Maddie Brown, Emslee Parker and Easton Parker. Her legacy continues to flourish through each generation. Every child, grandchild, and great-grandchild was a light in her life, and she made sure they always knew how deeply they were loved. She is also survived by her sister, Brenda Trivette; half-sister; Linda Faw; half-brother, Ricky Griffin and aunt, Lessie Church, who shared in her life’s journey and will carry her memory forward.
A visitation will be held at 10:00-10:45 a.m. on Saturday, April 25,2026 at Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Moravian Falls. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday April 25, 2026 at Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Moravian Falls. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
