Glenda (Whittington) Hutchens

Mrs. Glenda Whittington Hutchens, 59, of Wilbar, passed away on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at Westwood Hills Nursing Home. 

Glenda was born on October 14, 1961 in Wilkes County to Woodrow Charles Whittington and Eva Marie Nichols Whittington. 

Glenda loved spending time with her family and her beloved dogs.  She also enjoyed eating at the historical Glenn’s Tasty Freeze.  Fishing and social media were also enjoyable pastimes for Glenda.  

Glenda is preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow Charles Whittington and Eva Marie Whittington. 

Glenda is survived by her brother, Jerry Whittington and wife, Tamara of Lenoir; nephew, Toby Whittington also of Lenoir. 

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Reddies River Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Wilbar. 

Rev. Boyce Cleary will be officiating
