Harold Partee Walker

            Harold Partee Walker, age 76, of Hiddenite, passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at his home.

            He was born July 22, 1947 in Iredell County, the son of the late Edgar Partee Walker and Mary Frances Smith Walker.

            He was a US Army veteran, who served in the 4th Infantry during the Vietnam Era. He worked for Merita Bakery for over 20 years, later for Fed-Ex, Greenway, and Alexander County Convenience Center.  He was a life-long member of Sulphur Springs Baptist Church. He loved racing, fishing, and family beach trips. His pride of life was his family.

            Those left to cherish and honor his memories include: his wife, Judy Lois Pennell Walker of the home; his son, David Partee Walker (Crystal) of Statesville; his daughter, Bridget Nicole Wise (Scotty) of Hiddenite; his grandchildren, Ethan Warren, Allison Wilson; his great-grandchildren, Xavier Partee Poole, Silas Wilson; his brother, Elvin Walker (Karen) of Hiddenite; his aunt, Sylvia Walker; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

            The funeral service will be held at 4 p.m., Sunday, October 29, 2023 at Sulphur Springs Baptist Church. Pastor Bradley Anderson and Rev. Lucas Walker will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with full military honors accorded by Alexander County Veterans Honor Guard.  

            The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
