Helen (Bennett) Peterson

            Helen Bennett Peterson, age 84, of Taylorsville, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2024, at her home.

            Helen was born April 25, 1940, in Mitchell County, the daughter of the late Frank and Julie Bennett.

            Helen was a machine operator for Southern Devices for 30 years and was of the Baptist faith. She was a very loving mother and enjoyed collecting pictures, video taping but most of all looking after her children.

            Including her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Edward Lee Peterson; two children, Donna Minor, Eddie Peterson; a grandchild, Shannon Peterson; two sisters, Martha Bennett, Lena Johnson.

            Those left to cherish her memories include: her children, Jessie Lackey, Elbert Peterson, Randall Peterson, Debbie Green; her grandchildren, Whitney, Brittany, Misty, Summer, Chelsea, Dustin, Bradley, Andy; numerous great-grandchildren; her siblings, R.L. Bennett, Rotha Bennett, Darlene Bennett; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

            The funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Monday, December 30, 2024, in the Adams Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Sam Vallini will officiate. Burial will follow in the Taylorsville City Cemetery.          

            The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. prior to the service.

            Memorial donations may be made to a hospice of donor’s choice.
