James Norris Poole

            James “Norris” Poole, age 72, of Taylorsville, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at his home.

            Norris was born August 7, 1953, in Alexander County, the son of Madia Poole Jones and his step-father, Joe Jones.

            Norris was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed socializing with friends, enjoyed cooking and loved to watch Westerns.

            Including his mother, he was preceded in death by: a sister, Kathy Barker and a brother, Rodney Scott.

            Those left to cherish and honor Norris’s memories include: his sisters, Diane Carlton (Robert) of Wilkesboro, Kimberly Shuford (Robbie) of Taylorsville, Sandra Lackey of Taylorsville; his brothers, JC Scott of Lenoir, Bryan Jones (Amy) of Taylorsville; his girlfriend, Rachel McLain.

            At Norris’s request there will be no services.
