Janice (Beckworth) Yee

            Janice Beckworth Yee, age 74, of Statesville, passed on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at the Gordon Hospice House.

            Janice was born March 13, 1950, in Appling County, GA, the daughter of the late Abraham Beckworth and Lola Grace Crosby Beckworth. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Abraham Beckworth, Jr, Jerry Beckworth, Willis Beckworth; four sisters, June Beckworth, Juanita Pohl, Christine Oxedine and Clementine Schulze.

            Janice worked as a Dental Assistant at the Medical College of Georgia until she retired. Outside of work, she enjoyed reading, tending to her flower, and spending time with her family.

            Those left to cherish her memory include: her son, Justin Wheeler (Christina); two grandchildren, Cooper Wheeler and Brianna Rushton; a brother, Henry “Ford” Beckworth; four sisters, Merita Oswald, Beverline “Becky” Walters, Myrtle Hogbin and Janie Jenkins.

            A small gathering will be held at the home of Justin and Christina Wheeler at a date TBD. Janice will be laid to rest with her brothers and sisters in the Beckworth-Swinson Cemetery in Baxley, GA.
