Jenena Mae (Greene) Gordon

            Jenena Mae Gordon, age 62, of Maiden, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2024 at Atrium Health Concord.

            Jenena was born August 27, 1961 in Avery County, the daughter of the late Zeb Greene and Alice Brown Greene.

            Jenena was a Certified Nursing Assistant for most of her working career and was of the Baptist faith. She loved to sing, go fishing, and was an avid rock collector and loved her fur babies.

            Including her parents, she was preceded in death by: two sisters and a brother.

            Those left to cherish and honor her memories include: her husband, Marty Gordon of the home; her daughter, Monica Calloway (Carl) of Avery County; her son, Matthew Hopson of Avery County; her step-daughter, Jessica Gordon of Hickory; her mother-in-law, Glenda Mecimore; five grandchildren and a great-grandchild; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
