Jerry Dean “Dino” Ingram, age 71, of Taylorsville, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at Robbins Center-Caldwell Hospice in Hudson, NC.
He was born September 21, 1953, in Alexander County, the son of the late George Haskel “Hack” Ingram and Edith Sawyer Ingram.
He was a mechanic for Carolina Tire, Sigmon Automotive and Hwy 90 Tire. He was a member of East Taylorsville Baptist Church. He was a prankster who enjoyed having fun. He liked to fish, tinker, and was a tough old bird and a heck of a fighter that was very loyal to his family and friends.
Including his parents, he was preceded in death by: a son, Jason Ingram; his sisters, Phyllis Deal, Linda Barnes, Louise Loudermelk, Nellie Minton; brothers, James “Chaunce” Ingram, Raymond Ingram.
Those left to cherish and honor his memories include: his wife of 53 years, Dian Garris Ingram of the home; his daughter, Staci Ingram (Raymond Weiler) of Taylorsville; his grandchildren, Kayla Ingram, Cody Clark; his brother, Wendell Ingram (Melody) of Hiddenite; his brother-in-law, JD Barnes; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m., Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at East Taylorsville Baptist Church with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 3 p.m. Rev. Kevin White and Rev. Dwight Austin will officiate.
