Jesse C. Fierro

            After a brief and courageous battle against cancer, Jesse C. Fierro, age 69, of Taylorsville, passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at Gordon Hospice House.

            Jesse was born April 8, 1956, in Los Angeles, California, the son of the late, Jesus Fierro and Celia Sanchez Fierro.

            He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. He was of the Catholic faith.

Jesse loved the mountains, rivers, and spending time outdoors. He also dearly loved spending time with his four grandsons.

            Including his parents, he was preceded in death by: his sister, Yvonne Fierro; his uncle, Pablo Ruelas and wife Nina who raised Jesse like a son.

Those left to cherish and honor his memories include: his wife, Karen Fox Fierro; his daughters, Kira Boyd (Justin) of Taylorsville, Maria “Trini” Fierro of Taylorsville, Jennifer Tipton of Taylorsville; his grandchildren, Nathan Boyd, Evan Waters, Reid Boyd, Reece Boyd; a great-granddaughter expected in December, Delilah Rose Boyd; his sisters, Irma Fierro of California, Irene Arenas of California; his brothers, Charlie Fierro of California, Danny Fierro (Carmen) of California; brother-in-law, James E. Fox of Taylorsville; a special friend, Melinda Beilharz and family.

            The graveside service will be held at 5 p.m., Thursday, August 28, 2025 in the Taylorsville City Cemetery. Dr. James Smith will officiate.

            The body will lie-in-state from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at Adams Funeral Home.

            Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Gordon Hospice House in Statesville.
