Jessica Lynette Wellman

            Jessica Lynette Wellman, age 34, of Taylorsville, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at her home.

            Jessica was born March 13, 1988 in Iredell County, the daughter of Richard Conley Wellman and Teresa Lackey Wellman of Taylorsville.

            She attended Alexander Central High School and joined Zion Chapel AME Church at an early age, where she served on Usher Board, Youth Choir, and Praise Team. She was employed with Mitchell Gold for 14 years. She loved God and her family. She enjoyed music, writing, making people laugh, and loved caring for others.

            She was preceded in death by: her grandparents, Donald and Ruth Wellman and William Sr. and Ruth D. Lackey.

            Including her parents, she leaves to cherish the memory of her life: her sisters, Alisha Lackey, LaToya Smith (Cortney), all of Stony Point; two special nieces, Alivia and Kourtlynn Smith; a nephew, Joshua Brown; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; a special auntie/mama/caregiver, Donna Johnson.

            The Home-going Service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, April 18, 2022 at Zion Chapel, 81 Zion Chapel Road, Hiddenite, NC. Pastor Robin D. Williams. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

            The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2 p.m. prior to the service.

            There will be a book signing from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m., Monday, April 18, 2022 at Adams Funeral Home Chapel.
