Joe Cothren Obituary
Mr. Joe Lee Cothren, 78, of Roaring River, passed away on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at home with his sister by his side.
Joe was born on December 15, 1943 in Wilkes County to David Leander and Vergie Estelle Mahaffey Cothren.
Joe loved doing all kinds of work, being in the outdoor’s and spending time with his family. Joe was a lover of animals, his dog Boo Boo was his companion and best friend.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jesse Cothren, Gary Cothren and Edwin Cothren.
Joe is survived by his sisters, Nancy Caudill of North Wilkesboro, Doris Absher of Roaring River, Delane Adams of North Wilkesboro and Marlene Taylor of Jefferson and many nieces and nephews who loved him very much.
A celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date.
