            Joshua Matthew Miller

            Josh Miller passed away at his home on Thursday, January 30, 2025. He was born April 30, 1977, in Statesville, NC to Bill and Amy Keever Miller of Hiddenite, NC. He graduated from Alexander Central High School in 1995 and attended Duke University. He graduated from University of North Alabama in Florence, Alabama with a degree in Economics.

            Josh was a restaurant manager at several area restaurants. He planned to open a Gastro Pub in Statesville, but the COVID PANDEMIC prevented his plans.

            Josh was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents Miller and Keever.

            Those left to cherish his memory are his sister, Courtney Adele Miller of Swannanoa, NC; his father, Glenn Deal, Jr. of the home; his four brothers, Jeff (Jamie), Scott (Brandi), Matt (Xiaoju/Amy) and Andy (Lindsay) Deal; his aunt, Holly Keever Cheney; his cousins, Wesley Williams, Liubov Eliza Cheney, Elijah William Deal; his uncles, Joel Keever and Jeffrey Miles Keever.

            Josh had many loves: Duke University and especially Coach K and Duke basketball, prospecting for gold, target shooting and his family, especially his dear, sweet mother, Amy.

            A private graveside service will be held later with Pastor Craig Sigmon officiating.
