Judy Bowman Connolly, age 82, of Taylorsville, passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at her home.
Judy was born April 29, 1943, in Alexander County, the daughter of the late James Vernon Baker and Nellie Childers Baker.
Judy graduated from Hiddenite High School in 1961; she worked in the furniture industry most of her working career. She was a member of Christian Fellowship Church, where she seen that everyone got a card for their birthday and anniversary. She loved to play board games and cards with her family and friends. She loved to go shopping but most of all she loved her family.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by: her first husband, Henry Bowman, who she was married to for 55 years and the father of her children, her second husband, Junie Connolly, who she was married to for six and half years; her brother, Charles Baker.
Those left to cherish and honor Judy’s memories include: her daughters, Vicky B. Canter (David) of Hiddenite, Mechelle B. Greene (Scott) of Taylorsville; her grandchildren, Crystal C. Smith (Josh), Bradley Greene (Tina), Kelly C. Smith (Chris), Amanda G. Grant (Anthony), Alex Canter (Melissa), Caleb Greene (Sarah), Kyra C. Fox (Alex), Dallas Canter (Alyson); her great-grandchildren, Easton Smith, Samuel Smith, Logan Smith, Dawson Smith, Alby Smith, Carson Smith, Tucker Grant, Trinity Smith, Tolbert Grant, Reagan Grant, Ivy Greene, Jaxon Greene, June Smith, Josey Canter, Allison Lasher, Chad Lasher.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m., Sunday, December 7, 2025, at Christian Fellowship Church with the funeral service to follow at 3 p.m. Pastor Scott Greene, Alex Canter, Anthony Grant will officiate. Burial to follow in the church cemetery.
