Juel Deal Brafford, age 87, of Taylorsville, passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at Mitchell Mack Hospice House in Mooresville.
Juel was born September 19, 1937, in Alexander County, the daughter of the late John Calvin Deal and Delia Wike Deal.
Juel was involved with secretarial work for most of her working career. She was of the Christian faith. She always enjoyed making flower arrangements for family members and loved to go to the beach.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by: her sisters, Shirley Deal, Bernice Griffin, Mildred Kerley; her brother, Shuford Deal; her brothers-in-law, Bland Brafford, Larry Brafford.
Those left to cherish and honor Juel’s memories include: her husband for over 60 years, Richard Delaney Brafford; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, May 18, 2025, in the Adams Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. James Smith will officiate. Burial will be in the Taylorsville City Cemetery.
