Kathleen "Kathy" McManus-Bock

       Kathleen “Kathy” McManus-Bock, age 66, of Taylorsville, passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2024, at Frye Regional Medical Center.

            Kathleen was born February 23, 1958, in Bronx, N.Y, the daughter of the late Robert T. McManus and Catherine Connolly McManus.

            Earlier in her working career she worked as a passenger service agent for Capitol airlines, American Trans-Air. She then worked in her family bookstore in New York and later as a teacher’s assistant for Copiage Schools.

            She loved to travel and became the family tour director. She was all about love and peace. She loved taking care of animals. But most of all she loved being with her grandchildren, Gavin and Arabella, and her family.

            Those left to honor and cherish her memories include: her husband, Philip

A. Bock; her daughter, Meaghan Bock-Hughes and son in law Jamie of Statesville; two grandchildren, Gavin Hughes and Arabella Hughes; her brother, R. Kevin McManus and partner Gary Tucker of Taylorsville.

            The family will conduct a Celebration of Life Service at Noon, Saturday, November 9, 2024, at 830 D.G. Echerd Road, Taylorsville, NC 28681.
