Kenneth Braswell, Jr.

            Kenneth Braswell, Jr., age 76, of Taylorsville, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2025 at Valley Nursing Center.

            Kenneth was born May 22, 1948 in Alexander County, the son of the late Rev. Kenneth Braswell, Sr. and Margie Carolyn Whisenant Braswell.

            Kenneth worked in the furniture industry and was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed painting and farm animals.

            Including his parents, he was preceded in death by: his wife of 39 years, Debbie Edgison Braswell and a brother, Ronald Braswell.

            Those left to cherish and honor Kenneth’s memories include: his sisters, Iris Auton of Taylorsville, Elaine Kerley (Bruce) of Taylorsville; his brother, Stewart Braswell (Leslie) of Taylorsville; and a number on nieces and nephews.

            The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m., Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at Adams Funeral Home. A family graveside service will follow in the Linney’s Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Dr. James Smith will officiate.

            The family would like to extend a special thanks to Valley Nursing Center for the care that they had given Kenneth.
