Kristopher Young (Cooper)

            Kristopher Young (Cooper), age 31, of Statesville, passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

            He was born July 2, 1990 in Cumberland County, NC, the son of Melinda Campbell Cooper and husband, David Cooper.

            He worked for Benfield Sanitation Services. He enjoyed bass audio music and loved to fish and the ocean. He especially loved his family.

            He was preceded in death by: a brother, Brian Cooper.

            Including his parents, those left to cherish and honor his memory include: a daughter, Jocelyn Paige; a son, Brian Oliver Young; Kristopher’s step-children; grandparents, Bruce and Myra Cooper of Naples, FL; sisters, Jennifer Cooper (White) of Cooleemee, NC, Emily Cooper of Hickory; great-God-parents, Bea and Hans Gostel of Conway, SC; aunt Traci Sherrill of Shelby, NC; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; birth father, Carl Young and sisters, Amanda and Stacy.

             A private service will be held at a later date.
