Larry David Millsaps

                Larry David Millsaps, age 80, of Hiddenite, passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2024 at Carolina `Caring of Newton.

Larry was born May 26, 1944 in Alexander County, the son of the late Burgess Millsaps and Nell Campbell Millsaps.

                Larry was retired from the North Carolina Department of Corrections. He was a faithful member of White Plains Baptist Church. He loved gospel music and enjoyed singing. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoyed gardening, and loved his furry friend Spuddy. He was a jack of all trades. Most of all he loved his Lord and his family.

                Including his parents, he was preceded in death by: his siblings, Lorene Millsaps Wallace (Jake), Emogene Millsaps Barnette, Bobby Millsaps (Lois), and Jennis Millsaps (Louise).

                Those left to cherish and honor his memories include: his wife of 48 years Joy Deal Millsaps; his daughter, Mitzi Millsaps Davis (Rick); his sons, Shawn Millsaps (Rita), Brandon Millsaps (Bobbi); his grandchildren, Dalton Davis (Megan) Maverick Davis, Levi Davis, David Millsaps; a great grand-daughter, Ella Davis; and a brother, Billy Millsaps (Cozette).

                A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, September 2, 2024 at White Plains Baptist Church Cemetery. Pastor Jared Moody and Pastor Dennis Barnette will officiate.

                The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home Chapel prior to the service.
