Laura Eaton

            Laura Eaton, age 77, of Taylorsville, passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at her home.

            Laura was born March 4, 1948, in Alexander County, the daughter of the late Pervie Otis Burgess and Mozelle Harrington Burgess.

            Laura had worked for Southern Devices until her retirement and was of the Lutheran faith. She enjoyed reading, listening to music and traveling.

            Including her parents, she was preceded in death by: sisters, Mary Ellen Lackey, Gertie Treadway, Thelma Deal, Athie Goble; brothers, Conley Burgess, Lewis Burgess; and two nephews.

            Those left to cherish and honor Laura’s memories include: her husband, Thomas Eaton of the home; her sister, Ruth Isenhour (Jerry) of Conover; her brother, Alton Burgess (Penny) of Taylorsville; her brothers-in-law, Howard Treadway, Lindsey Deal both of Taylorsville; 15 nieces and nephews and numerous cousins.
