Leonard Ezekiel Pearson

Mr. Leonard Ezekiel Pearson, 80, of Moravian Falls, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on April 16, 2025 surrounded by his loved ones.   

Leonard was born on March 20, 1945 in Wilkes County to Jeter Louis Pearson and Flossie Grace Smith Pearson.

He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend.  He had a passion for reading and studying God’s word. He was a humble, patient, honest, soft-spoken God-Fearing man who was admired by all who knew him.  Leonard was a loyal employee of Broyhill Furniture for 45 years and a jack of all trades.  He also loved farming , tractors and woodworking.

Leonard will be reunited with his mother and father; son, Barry Pearson; sister, Linda Pearson and brother, Howard Pearson.

Leonard will be greatly missed by his steadfast wife of 59 years Wilhelmina Pearson of the home; daughters, Melissa Brown (Gwyn) of Boomer, Teresa Pearson (Philip) of Moravian Falls, Tammy Pearson (Scott) of Boomer, Wendy Eller (Joey) of Purlear; 10 grandchildren, Natasha Woodring (Ryan), Kayla Ward (Nathan), Leah Meeks (Andrew), Jordan Blevins, Cameron Brown, Hayden Blevins, Chase Eller, Brayden Eller, Zaliachi Urick, and Paxton Eller; 6 great grandchildren, Canaan Woodring, Faith Woodring, Sydney Ward, Cole Ward,  Dawson Meeks, Gemma Meeks; 3 sisters, Martha Parlier of Lenoir, Rachel Pearson of Boomer, Loretta Land  (Richard) of Moravian Falls; brother, Sam Pearson (Bobbie Sue) of Hiddenite. 

 A visitation will be held from 1-1:45 p.m., Monday April 21, 2025 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. The Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday April 21, 2025 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery. 

Pastor David Jones, Pastor Chris Wingler will be officiating.
