Linda Kay Pierce Pardue, 77, passed away in the arms of her husband on April 29, 2026.
She was born and raised on a cotton farm in Stony Point and called Taylorsville home since the 1960s. Born May 1, 1948, daughter of Ben Elbert Pierce and Rosie Mitchell Pierce, Linda married Paul Jr. on March 10, 1967
Linda was preceded in death by her parents and siblings James Pierce, JR Pierce, Grady Pierce, JC Pierce, Marie Mecimore, Essie Mae Hall, and Phyllis Pierce.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Paul Pardue, Jr., son Micheal Pardue, Sr. and wife Rachel of Granite Falls, and daughter Emily Holder and husband Chad of Taylorsville. Linda had ten grandchildren, Elijah Pardue and wife Destiny, Jason Pardue, Kyle Pardue and fiancée Emilee, Kristen Boughman and husband David, Addelyen Pardue, Sarah Holder, Lilyanna Pardue, Jacob Holder, Hannah Holder, & Micheal Pardue, Jr. Linda also had two great-grandchildren, Aalaiyah and Renesmee. In addition, she is survived by her sister Arlene Keever and husband Kenny, along with many nieces, nephews, beloved cousins, and friends.
The family will greet friends on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at East Taylorsville Baptist Church. A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. at the church. Dr. Micheal Pardue Sr., Rev. Marvin Yarborough, Rev. Lor Xiong, and Rev. Kevin White will officiate. Burial will follow in the Taylorsville Town Cemetery.
