Lucille Walker Spears, age 96, of Taylorsville, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at Frye Regional Medical Center.
Lucille was born September 18, 1928, in Wilkes County, the daughter of the late Paul Walker and Hilda Reines Walker.
She was of the Christian faith. During her working career, she was in the furniture industry. She enjoyed raising flowers and gardening and was known for her green thumb. She was a seamstress, a homemaker and especially a good mother.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Jim Spears; her sister, Irene Walker; her brother, Bill Walker.
Those left to cherish and honor her memories include: her daughters, Lucille Denise Spears of Texas, Angela Deloris Spears Call and husband Kenneth Lee Call of Bethlehem; her grandson, Kenneth James Call of Bethlehem; her sister, Alice Walker Jarvis of Wilkesboro; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
