Manfred Miethe

            Manfred Miethe, age 77, of Statesville, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2024 at Duke University Medical Center. He was born March 10, 1947 in Luneburg, Germany, the son of the late Horst Miethe and Lesalotta Elbeck Miethe.

            Manfred was an electric motor repairman for most of his working career. He attended First Wesleyn Church in Statesville for 25 years. He was an avid soccer player and he also enjoyed watching soccer on TV. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchild, Rhett. He enjoyed sitting under his carport on Sunday afternoon getting together with family.

            Including his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael Miethe.

            Those left to cherish and honor his memories include: his wife, Robbie Cash Miethe of the home; his son, Matthew Miethe (Michelle) of Tennessee; his grandchildren, Nick Miethe (Jayden), Noah Miethe (Addison McKinney), Emma Miethe, Rhett Miethe, Gareth Miethe, Riley Miethe, Hayden Miethe; his great-grandchildren, Peyton, Parker, and Chloe Miethe, Riley McKinney; his sister, Marion Bõhme (Garrett) of Germany.

            A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
