Mrs. Margaret Gallimore, age 74, of Newton, passed away Thursday, November 21, 2019 at Valley Nursing Center.
Margaret was born February 4, 1945 in Ashe County, the daughter of the late Roy Benjamin Roark and Stella Gaye Woods Roark.
She had worked for Bali Sara Lee in Statesville and also a housewife. She was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed traveling to the mountains, going to yard sales, and gardening. She loved her children and grandchildren very much.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Gilmer Marvin Gallimore; a grandson, Frankie Gallimore; an infant sister; two brothers, Harold Roark, Johnny Roark; sister-in-law, Susie Roark.
Those left to cherish her memory include: a daughter, Sarah Gallimore Caldwell and husband, Tommy, of Newton; three sons, Marvin Gilmer Gallimore, Jr. and wife, Derinda, of Statesville, Jackie Lee Gallimore and wife, Celia, of Statesville, Bobby Joe Gallimore of Stony Point; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; five brothers, Mike Roark and wife, Sandy, of Statesville, Wayne Roark and wife, Ann, of Hamptonville, Jerry Roark and wife, Becky, of Winston-Salem, David Roark of Harmony, Howard Roark of West Jefferson; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m., Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at Crestview Baptist Church, 226 Crestview Acres Road, Statesville, NC 28677.
