Mary Emma Archer

            Mary Emma Archer, age 97, of Taylorsville, passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2024 at her home.

            Mary was born April 12, 1927 in Akron, Ohio, the daughter of the late Harley Winland and Viola Funk Winland.        

            Mary was a wonderful mom. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church on Macedonia Church Road in Taylorsville, where she was very active in church activities. She enjoyed crafts, quilting and was involved with Habitat for Humanity.

            Including her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Preston Archer; a son, Daniel Archer; two brothers, Philip Winland, Raymond Winland.

            Those left to cherish and honor her memories include: her daughters, Connie Archer of Newcomerstown, Ohio, Karen Archer (David Moore) of Kent, Ohio; her sons, David Archer (Jany) of Suwanee, GA, Robert Dale Archer (Sue) of South Bend, Indiana, Michael J. Archer of Taylorsville; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-on the way; daughter-in-law, Gail Archer; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
