Mary (Mathis) Little

            Mary Mathis Little, age 70, of Taylorsville, passed away on January 28, 2025, at Pine Acres in Lexington, NC.

            Mary was born January 3, 1955, in Catawba County, the daughter of the late Hayden Donald Mathis and Margaret Shook Mathis.

            She worked in the furniture industry for most of her working career and was a divine faithful person. She loved nature, picking flowers, and just being outside. She was a loving mother and wife.

            Including her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandchild.

            Those left to cherish and honor Mary’s memories include: her husband, William Derek Little of the home; her daughters, Estelle Shelton of Hickory, Sherry Cogar (Robert) of Virginia, Carrie Holder of Hickory; her son, Donald Keller of Maryland; six grandchildren and a great-grandchild; her sister, Peggy of NC and her brother, Steve of NC.

            A memorial service will be held at a later date.
