Mary Catherine Ratliff

            Mary Catherine Ratliff, age 63, of Taylorsville, passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at Frye Regional Medical Center.

            Mary was born November 22, 1960 in Russell County, Virginia, the daughter of the late Samuel Joseph Wallace and Mildred Ann Harrison Wallace.

            Mary worked in fast foods for the majority of her working career. She was a member of Freedom Baptist Church. She enjoyed baby sitting and loved her flowers especially rose bushes. She loved her bell in her yard and enjoyed animals and loved to go to church.

            Including her parents, she was preceded in death by: an infant daughter; a brother, Ricky Wallace; a nephew, Michael Joe Wallace.

            Those left to cherish and honor her memories include: her husband of 36 years, Stevie Ratliff of the home; her son, Shane Anthony Ratliff of the home; her sisters, Betty Green (Rick), Andrea Lester (Mack) all of Virginia; her brother, Timothy Wallace of Taylorsville; her nieces, Shana Green, Tiffany Wallace, Katie Lester, Kristy Lester, Kyra Lester, Amy Lester; her nephew, Jason Green; great-nieces, Mason Lester, Julie Lester; great-nephew, Jesse Lester.

            The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, March 22, 2024 at Freedom Baptist Church. Dr. Sam Vallini and Pastor Tony Miller will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

            The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., Thursday, March 21, 2024 at Adams Funeral Home.
