Mary Rosalyn (Forbes) Morrison

                Mary Rosalyn Forbes Morrison, age 88, of Statesville, passed away on Friday, June 21, 2024 at S. Mitchell Mack Hospice House.

                Mary was born August 24, 1935 in Camden County, the daughter of the late William S. Forbes and Dorothy Forbes.

                She was a member of Christ Sanctified Holy Church in Greensboro, NC. She was a mother, grandmother and a wonderful seamstress. She traveled the world with her husband as he served his country. She enjoyed quilting, cross and word search puzzles. She was a great cook and loved her cocker spaniel dogs, her grandchildren and church folks.

                Including her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, William E. “Bug” Morrison; and her brother, James “Buddy” Forbes.

                Those left to cherish and honor her memories include: her sons, William M. Morrison (Jennifer), Kevin E. Morrison Sr.; her grandchildren, Kevin E. Morrison Jr., Matthew Glenn Morrison, Nicolas Dean Morrison, Ryan David Morrison; 2 great grandchildren; her sister, Dora Forbes Dyson of Stony Point; her brother, Ralph Forbes (Kim) of Greensboro; a sister-in-law, Shirley Deal Forbes of Statesville, and numerous nieces and nephews.

                The funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 26, 2024 in the Adams Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Jeff Price and Pastor John D. Forbes will officiate. Burial will follow in the New Amity ARP Church Cemetery in Scotts, N.C.

                The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service.

                Pallbearers will be: Johnny Morrison, Jonathan Raby, Michael Anderson, Tim Kolpin, Baily Teague, Rodney Forbes and two honorary pallbearers, Andrew Morrison and Chris Morrison.

                Memorials may be made to: Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County.
