Merle Everett Tadt

Mr. Merle Everett Tadt ,91, of Moravian Falls passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025 at Wilkes Skilled and Rehabilitation Center.   

Merle was born on November 17, 1933 in the town, of Pomfret Chautauqua County, New York to Joseph M. Tadt and Hattie A. Wise Tadt.

He served in the U.S Army from 1956-1958.   Merle worked for many years for Falconer Plate Glass and Carolina Mirror. He is also a talented wood worker and built many pieces of furniture. 

Merle is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Norma Tadt, Alberta Cawns; brothers, Robert Tadt, Norman Tadt, Harold Tadt and granddaughter, Lisa Salmon.   

Merle is survived by his wife of 53 years, Shirley Ann Williams Tadt; daughters, Kerri Tadt, Denise Penhollow and husband, Burnell; son, Dale Limberg and wife, Patricia, sisters, Marylyn Hopp, Evelyn Tadt; 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. 

 A graveside service  will be held at a later date.
