Michael Eugene Teague

            Michael Eugene Teague, age 70, of Taylorsville, passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at UNC Health in Wayne County.

            Michael was born August 21, 1955, in Alexander County, the son of the late Herman Eugene Teague and Mary Inez Baker Teague.

            Michael worked in the furniture industry for most of his working career and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. He loved playing cards and shooting pool.

            Family members left to cherish and honor Michael’s memories include: his wife, Cathy Dagenhart Teague, who he married September 26, 1986; his daughter, Shana Teague of Taylorsville; his sons, Corey Teague (Beth) of California, Josh Teague of Hickory, David Hedrick of Hickory; his grandchildren, Ethan, Anthony, Taelyn, Lucy, and Chase Teague; his brother, Terry Lee Teague of Taylorsville; special aunt, Debra Passmore; special niece, Amy Ballard.

           The funeral service will be held at 5 p.m., Monday, June 15, 2026, in the Adams Funeral  Home Chapel. C J Ballard will officiate. Burial will follow in the Liledoun Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
