Monica Chanel Stout

Monica Chanel Stout, age 55, of Taylorsville, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at Atrium Health of Wilkes.

Monica was born July 8, 1970, in Iredell County, the daughter of the late Gerald Triplett and Martha Jill Herman Childers.

Monica was of the Christian faith. She was a manager at Wal-Mart for a number of years. She loved her dogs, who brought her joy and companionship. She also shared a close bond with her grandmother, Martha Nell, who played a vital role in her life.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory include: her sister, Tia Triplett; her brothers, Justin Childers (Mahala) and Ian Triplett (Keisha); significant other, Jeffrey Kennedy; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A private funeral service will be held.
