Naola Imogene (Nichols) Smithey

Mrs. Naola Imogene Smithey, 82, of Wilkesboro, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at her home. 

Naola was born on June 20, 1938 in Wilkes County to Fred Millus Nichols and Alice Genevieve Nichols. 

Naola is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Guy Anthony “Tony” Smithey Sr., and sister, Abert Ducan. 

Naola is survived by her son, Guy Anthony Smithey Jr. and wife, Billie of Wilkesboro; sisters, Francis Othelia Hall of Crouse, Judena Tucker of Concord and grand daughter Megan Roberts of Wilkesboro.  

Visitation will be held at 2:00- 2:45 p.m. on Sunday, July 26, 2020 at Greater Vision Baptist Church. The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m.  Sunday, July 26, 2020 at Greater Vision Baptist Church.

 Rev. Shane Pardue and Rev Lynn Lambert will be officiating.

Burial will follow the funeral at Moravian Falls Cemetery in Moravian Falls. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Salvation Army, Wilkes and Alleghany Counties Chapters, 1045 West Street, Wilkesboro, NC 28697 or the American Red Cross, 2025 E Street, Washington DC, 2006.
