Nicholas "Roland" Morganelli

            Nicholas “Roland” Morganelli, age 81, of Winston-Salem, passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at his home.

            Roland was born October 2, 1943, in Brooklyn, New York, the son of the late Roland Donato Morganelli and Rose Margaret Pisarra Morganelli.

            “Nick” served in the United States Air Force for seven years during the Vietnam Era. He was in sales for most of his working career, and also a photographer. He was born Catholic and later in life turned his faith to Baptist. He was an avid bird enthusiast, who hand fed and raised exotic parrots. He loved spending time with his family especially the grandchildren.

            Including his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Nicole Renee Morganelli and a brother, Thomas Morganelli.

            Those left to cherish and honor his memories include: his wife of 60 years, Sandra Lee Harrison Morganelli of the home; his sons, Daniel Thomas Morganelli and wife, Rebecca Astin Morganelli, Robert Michael Morgan and wife, Lynn Davidson Morgan, Michael Roland Morganelli, Kenneth Paul Morganelli; his grandchildren, Michaelee Nicholas Morganelli and wife Kailey Russell Morganelli, Zachariah Paul Morganelli, Zebulon Eli Morganelli, Afon Thomas MacMurry Morgan, Nicholas Edward Morganelli, Isabella Renee Morganelli; and a great-grandchild, Maverick Louie Morganelli.
