Norma Jean Neal

Norma Jean Neal, 67, of Polk Street, Taylorsville, passed away April 24, 2025, at Valley Nursing.

Norma Jean was born July 21, 1957, in Alexander County, to the late Roosevelt Clark and Margaret Neal McCauley. She was a graduate of Happy Plains and worked in the furniture industry (Bassett) for many years. She was a member of Pleasant Home Fire Baptized Church in Stony Point. Norma Jean loved to cook and have cookouts for her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by son, Bilal Fardon Neal; sister, Priscilla Ann Lineberger Stokes; grandparents, John Wesley and Fannie S. Honeysucker Neal; and aunts, Doshia M. Jolly Smith and Lula B. Powell.

Those left to cherish her memories include granddaughter, Destiny Stiles; great-granddaughter, Addalyn Johnson; niece, Lavonda Neal; nephew, Michael Lineberger; uncle, Richard Wormack; and a host of other nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will conduct a Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 10, 2025 at Pleasant Home FBH Church.
