Patsy Jean (Blankenship) Owens

PATSY JEAN BLANKENSHIP OWENS, 76, of Grundy, VA, passed away Sunday, June 9, 2024, in Hiddenite, NC. Born in Buchanan County, she was the daughter of the late Byrd and Mary Lottie (Owens) Blankenship. She was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and was a member of Harman Freewill Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, homemaker and enjoyed quilting and being a “Nana.”

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by Brothers: Lloyd Blankenship, Larry Blankenship, Bill Blankenship and Freeman Blankenship; Sister: Lois Marshall.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Ronnie Calvin Owens of Grundy, VA; Daughter: Mary Angela (Teddy) Charles of Stony Point, NC; Grandchildren: Dylan (Rachel) Charles and daughter: Danica of Stony Point, NC, Dakota Charles (Lux Lily) of Stony Point, NC; Brothers: Bob (Peggy) Blankenship of Harman, VA, Jerry Blankenship of Maxie, VA.

Also, survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Friends may call at the Harman Freewill Baptist Church Thursday evening at 6:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M.

Funeral Services for PATSY JEAN BLANKENSHIP OWENS will be conducted Friday, June 14, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. at the Harman Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Eddie Wilson and Rodney Stiltner officiating with entombment to follow in Mountain Rest Mausoleum, Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, VA.

Active Pallbearers will be family and friends.
