Paul Dean Crouch

            Mr. Paul Dean Crouch, age 83, of Taylorsville, passed away on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at his home.

            Paul was born July 10, 1938 in Alexander County, the son of the late Ray Crouch and Blanche Dyson Crouch.

            He was a drafted US Army veteran and a member of Macedonia Baptist Church but attended Calvary Baptist Church. He worked for Broyhill Furniture for 39 years as a Supervisor.

            When his health permitted he enjoyed walking and was a great sewer. He made curtains, pillows and other home goods. He loved growing tomatoes and canning. He loved his granddaughter, Mallory very much along with his church girls, Kirby and Raylee.

            Including his parents, he was preceded in death by: his wife, Dorothy Childers Crouch, who he was married to for 58 years and devoted his time as her caregiver for over 10 years before her death. 

            Those left to cherish and honor his memory include: his daughter, Pamela Chapman and husband, Kevin, who was more like a son than a son-in-law, of Taylorsville; granddaughter, Mallory Sweet and spouse, Susan Sweet, of Taylorsville. He was closest to his brothers, Jeff and Earl and his sister, JoAnne.

            The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m., Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at Calvary Baptist Church. Revs. Stephen Dagenhart and Taylor Miller will officiate. Burial will follow in the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery will full military honors accorded by the Alexander County Veterans Honor Guard.

            The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m., Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Adams Funeral Home Chapel.
