Ralph Edward Fletcher

Mr. Ralph Edward Fletcher, 91, of Moravian Falls, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at SECU Hospice Home in Yadkinville.  
Ralph was born on December 28, 1932 in Wilkes County to Rufus Talmadge Fletcher and Bertha Elvira Rhodes Fletcher. 
He was a member of Cub Creek Baptist Church, where he served as Deacon and Sunday School Teacher. Ralph enjoyed many outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, playing softball, baseball, golf, and horseshoe pitching.  He was an avid UNC fan but also enjoyed watching other sports. He also spent time doing puzzles, playing cards and checkers. Even at 91 he still enjoyed his time outdoors. Ralph loved spending time with his family. 
Ralph is preceded in death by his parents; wife, June Marie Gentle Fletcher; brothers, Guy Fletcher Sr., Gene Fletcher, John Henry Fletcher, Bruce Fletcher; sisters, Sylvia Smithey, Hazel Burgess, Lula Mae Klutz, Fern Duncan.
Ralph is survived by his son, Dale Fletcher and wife, Rebecca of Moravian Falls; daughter, Jennifer Fletcher Bumgarner and husband, William James of Bowie, Md; grandchildren, Laura Jordan, Dr. Steven Bumgarner, Bradley Bumgarner, Esq., Karen Bumgarner, Jeffrey Lenderman, Kristan Lenderman; 15 great-grandchildren and a great-great granddaughter.  
A visitation will be held Thursday, July 18, 2024 at 11:00-11:45 a.m. at Cub Creek Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at Noon at Cub Creek Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  
Rev. Brian Sampson and Speaker Fred Eldreth will be officiating.
