Raymond Myron Gallagher

            Raymond Myron Gallagher, age 81, of Hickory, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at Valley Nursing Center.

            Raymond was born November 8, 1944, in Sayre, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Emmett Gallagher and Margaret Briggs Cannavino.

            Raymond served in the United States Navy. He will be missed by his children, grandchildren, and siblings.

            Including his parents, he was preceded in death by: three sons, Terry Gallagher, Raymond Gallagher, Jr., Emmett Gallagher III; his sister, Kelly Nauss; his brother, August Gallagher; his brother-in-law, Marvin Frock.

            Family members left to cherish and honor Raymond’s memories include: his daughters, Valerie Ahlstrom (Charlie Bates), Lori Como (Jodie), Amanda Simpson, Diena Cannavino, Hope Gallagher; his sons, Chris Allen (Laura), Vincent Gallagher (Tina); his loving grandchildren; his sister, Nancy Frock; his brothers, Jeff Cannavino, Ken Cross; his sister-in-law, Jackie Gallagher; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

            The family will hold a memorial service at a later date to honor Raymond’s memory.
