Mr. Raymond Calvin “RC” Johnson, Sr., 73, of Wilkesboro, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2020 at his home.

Raymond was born on April 2, 1947 in Wilkes County to Benny Johnson and Nora Leona Brooks Johnson.

RC is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ben Johnson; sisters, Pearl Hussey and Marylee Hyder.

RC is survived by his son, Raymond Johnson Jr and wife, Earnestine of North Wilkesboro; daughter, Nora “Pauline” Johnson of North Wilkesboro; brother, Junior Johnson and wife, Sarah of Wilkesboro; 4 grandchildren, Shawn Johnson, Travis Johnson, and wife, Shanna, Christopher Johnson and fiancée, Faith Collins, Joshua Dykes; 4 great grandchildren, Madylen, Calvin and Avery Johnson and Annabelle Dykes.

A public viewing will be held Wednesday July 29, 2020 at 3:30-4:00 in the Johnson Family Cemetery. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at 4 p.m. in the Johnson family cemetery in Traphill.

Rev. Steven Shumate and Rev. Wiley Boggs will be officiating.
