Rebecca "Becky" Irene (Walker) Harris

Mrs. Rebecca “Becky” Irene Walker Harris,84, of North Wilkesboro passed away on Monday, September 23, 2024 at her home.  

Becky was born October 10, 1939 in Wilkes County to John Edgar Walker and Florence T.  Rymer Walker.

Becky served her community as a lab technician at Wilkes Regional Medical Center for 43 years.  Upon her retirement she volunteered and exercised at the Wilkes Senior Center.  She was an active member at Hinshaw Baptist Church, where she was a greeter.  Becky loved being a Nana and an Aunt to all her family.  To know Becky was to love Becky. 

Becky is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Avery “Skip” Young Harris; sisters, Cathrine Walker Hayes, Jane Walker Bryan; nephew, John Hayes and great niece, Cathrine Thomas. 

Becky is survived by grandchildren, Destinee Bailey, Annalisa Myers; nieces, Cynthia Thomas, Teresa Hamilton, JacquaLynn Poff; nephews, David Hayes, Mike Hayes and many great nieces and nephews that she loved.

 A visitation will be held at Hinshaw Baptist Church on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 1:00 p.m.-1:45p.m.

The memorial service will follow at Hinshaw Baptist Church on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.

Rev. Jeff Collins will be officiating.
