Robert Gerald Hampton

            Robert Gerald Hampton, age 54, of Taylorsville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 9, 2023.

            Robert was born April 30, 1968 in Sparta, NC, the son of Lewis Hampton and the late Wilma Dean Pratt Hampton. Robert was a longtime-open road truck driver known as “Suicide”.

            Including his mother, he was preceded in death by: brothers, Gary and Roger Hampton and special pup Millie.

            In addition to his father, those left to cherish and honor his memory include: his wife, Karen “Becky” Hampton; his son, Britt Morton and wife, Megan; his daughters, Trish Davis and husband, Austin, Bekah Dalton and husband, Isaac; his eldest brother, Bill Hampton; three grandsons, Zandon, Callen, Donald; three granddaughters, Willow, Isabella, Channing and husband, David; special pups, Houch and Roscoe; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Brian Fletcher, Chance Morris, Joe Terry, Patty Jo and Connie; all the members of the Truckers Convoy.

            A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
