Robert “Wayne” Teague, age 86, of Stony Point, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at Gordon Hospice House in Statesville.
Wayne was born May 7, 1939 in Alexander County, the son of the late Clay Edwards Teague and Mary Jane Hines Teague.
Wayne worked for Hunt Manufacturing for around 50 years and was a member of Stony Point Baptist Church. He enjoyed going to car shows, traveling to Gatlinburg, TN and enjoyed cook outs with close friends Ray and Margaret each month.
Including his parents, he was preceded in death by: his wife, Suma Kerley Teague; his sister, Betty Clymer and brother, Kermit Teague.
Those left to cherish and honor his memories include: his sisters, Martha Ann Teague Gaddy of Statesville, Sharon Teague Goforth (Jimmy) of Hiddenite, Elizabeth Teague Mecimore of Taylorsville; his brother, Carl Teague (Marylin) of Iredell County; his sister-in-law, Reta Teague of Taylorsville; his brother-in-law, Harvey Moose; his nephew, Todd Moose; and a number of other nieces, nephews, and friends.
The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m., Wednesday, August 20, 2025, in the Adams Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. James Smith will officiate. Burial will follow in the Mt. Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. prior to the service.
