Robert "Charlie" Wade

            Robert “Charlie” Wade, age 58, of North Wilkesboro, passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Mountain Valley Hospice in Yadkinville, NC.

            He was born January 18, 1966 in Barberton, Ohio, the son of the late Robert Wade and Lois McLain Wade.

Charlie worked for Martin Roofing Services for about 32 years. He was a member of The Father’s House of North Wilkesboro, where he enjoyed going to church with his boss Matt Dice. He enjoyed listening to music and going to the river at Grisel Tail. He loved NASCAR racing and loved his dog, Tootie.

Including his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Christy Kay Wade.

Those left to cherish and honor his memories include: his sisters, Amy Treadway (Tad) of Taylorsville, Brenda Hunt (Shane) of North Wilkesboro; his nieces, Shannon Hunt, Katrina Honeycutt (Chris); his nephews, Shane Hunt, Jr., Ryan Treadway, Cole Treadway; his great-nieces, River and Ella Honeycutt; his great-nephew, Christopher Hunt; special friends like family, Matt Dice and Jeff Hubbard.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, July 1, 2024 in the Adams Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Chris Taylor and Pastor Derek Kilby will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hiddenite Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Pallbearers include: Ryan Treadway, Cole Treadway, Robert Simms, Hayden Dice, Gage Dice, and Tristian Dice. Stephen Dobbins will serve as honorary pallbearer.
