Roberta “Lynn” Peoples Whitesides, age 61, of Hiddenite, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2024 at Gordon Hospice Home. Lynn was born January 22, 1963 in Iredell County to Dorothy Lee Peoples.
Lynn worked in the furniture industry before an early retirement as a seamstress and later as an office manager. Lynn was the life of our family gatherings. She loved any reason to put on a party. She loved crafting and gardening; a love she passed on to her daughter.
Including her mother, she is preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Whitesides and son, Stephen Peoples.
Those left to cherish her memory include: daughter, Tiffany Taylor (Curt) of Tennessee; brothers, Gary Cox (Tammy) of Statesville, Pete Cox (Ruth) of Morganton; sister-in-law, Libby Cox of Statesville; brother-in-law, Alan Whitesides (Lisa) of Wilkesboro; nieces, Nikki Miller (Gary) of South Carolina, Kasey Cox of Statesville and Brandi Cox (Brent) of Statesville; special cousin, Jeff Peoples ( Mary); several great-nieces, nephews and friends. She will be sorely missed by her loyal canine companion, Tiny.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6 p.m., Monday, April 29, 2024 in the Adams Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Barry Brookshire will officiate.
