Rom “Junior” Treadway, age 79, of Taylorsville, passed away on Friday, July 11, 2025, at his home.
He was born August 15, 1945, in Wilkes County, the son of the late Rom Willard Treadway and Edna Earp Treadway.
He worked for Sherrill Furniture for over 50 years and was a member of Taylorsville Church of God, where he sang in the choir, and was a usher. He was very active with the church ready to do whatever was needed. He loved woodworking, enjoyed activities with his family and church family. He loved and enjoyed his family especially his wife for 58 years.
Those left to cherish and honor his memories include: his wife, Judy Carrigan Treadway of the home; his daughter, Abby Deal (Terry) of Taylorsville; his son, Tad Treadway (Amy) of Taylorsville; his grandchildren, Emily Jensen (Dani), Katrina Honeycutt (Chris), Ryan Treadway (fiancé, Brooklyn), Cole Treadway; his great-grandchildren, Addison, Brooklyn, Harper, River, Ella; his sister, Ethel Russell (Vaughn); and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The funeral service will be held at 5 p.m., Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at Taylorsville Church of God. Pastor Mark Albertino will officiate. Burial will follow in the Little River Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Monday, July 14, 2025, at Adams Funeral Home.
