Mrs. Romona Dianne Harker Smith, 66, of Boomer, passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at Amorem Lenoir Hospice House in Lenoir.
Romona was born on October 30, 1954 in Camden County New Jersey to Robert Vincent Harker and Betty Elaine Word Harker.
Romona is preceded in death by her parents and son, Daniel Smith.
Romona is survived by her husband of 50 years, Gary Smith; sons, Joshua Smith of Wilkesboro, daughter, Ashley Billings and husband CJ, of Dobson; son, Matthew Smith and wife, Holly of Ferguson, Reuben Smith and fiancée Jamie, of Moravian Falls, 8 grandchildren, Sarah, Zachary, Blake, Lucus Meagan, Abby ,Adyen and 3 great grandchildren; sisters, Brenda and Lee; brothers, Sam and Baine Myatt.
Romona was an accomplished music writer in her younger days. She enjoyed gardening, crafts, crocheting, cooking big meals for her family and listening to her husband play guitar.
She was always loving and caring for her family, she was a kind hearted and loving wife and mother, and she put God and Family first.
A service will be held at a later date.
