Samuel Jarrett "Sam" Killian

Samuel Jarrett “Sam” Killian, age 35, of Taylorsville, passed away doing what he loved, riding his bike on Friday, March 28, 2025.

            Sam was born September 28, 1989, in Catawba County, the son of Kenneth Samuel Killian Jr. and Deborah Adams Killian.

            Sam worked for the City of Conover as a truck driver for the sanitation department. He was a supportive and loving husband, father, son and brother. He was of the Christian faith, having been saved at an early age. He had a passion for anything motorized. He enjoyed the outdoors and hunting. He was always willing to help anyone in need and never met a stranger.

            He was preceded in death by: his grandfathers, Sam Killian, Jerry Adams, Glenn Hawn and Larry Marrow Sr.

            Those left to cherish and honor his memories include: his wife, Alyssa Goins Killian; his daughter, Autumn Goins of the home; his father, Kenneth Samuel Killian Jr. (Kathy); his mother, Deborah Adams Killian (Mark Arrington); his sister, Jessica Killian McGhinnis (Mark); sister-in-law, Zayna Burgess; brother-in-law, Jesse Goins (Christal); father-in-law, Bo Goins (Tina Burgess); mother-in-law, Melinda Goins; grandparents, Dorothy Hawn, Jerry and JoAnn Stevens; nephews, Connor McGhinnis, Alexander Goins; and a niece, Blair Goins; many aunts, uncles, and relatives also survive.

            The funeral service will be held at 4 p.m., Sunday, April 27, 2025 in the Adams Funeral Home Chapel. Jesse Goins will officiate.

            The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 3:45 p.m. prior to the service at Adams Funeral Home.
